Owner & Founder, Elite Septic Service
Damon Malnar is the owner and founder of Elite Septic Service in Lufkin, Texas. He has spent 10 years installing, repairing, and inspecting on-site sewage facilities across Angelina, Polk, Rusk, Houston, Trinity, and Sabine counties, and holds TCEQ licenses as an Installer II, Site Evaluator, and Maintenance Provider.
Damon started working on septic systems in East Texas 10 years ago and founded Elite Septic Service in Lufkin. In that time he has installed, repaired, and inspected conventional and aerobic systems on properties across Angelina, Polk, Rusk, Houston, Trinity, and Sabine counties.
Most of what he writes here comes out of that work. Soil is the reason the same system behaves differently 30 miles apart: sandy ground in Polk County drains fast, the heavy clay in Rusk County does not, and a drainfield sized for one will struggle in the other. Knowing which one is under a property is the difference between a system that lasts decades and one that gives trouble in year four.
He runs the company the same way. The crew that quotes a job is the crew that does it, prices are flat rate and in writing before work starts, and a repair gets recommended over a replacement whenever a repair will genuinely hold. He handles the county permits and paperwork himself, so installs pass inspection.
